Nihil- is the Latin or Greek root for "nothing", can't remember which.

You may be getting these angels confused with what the writer and famous Rabbi Zecharia Sitchin wrote in some of his books. The angels called Enki & Enlil were God like angels, above the Anunnaki or the Nephlim, the latter which he ascibed to having created man. .
