"Deranged" is not a mental health term in this century.

"Delusional" is having false beliefs despite evidence to the contrary.

"Delirious" is when somone has a delirium, a temporary state of confusion, usually when someone is intoxicated with a substance or due to a metabolic abnormality.

"Demented" is when someone has a dementia, a chronic dysfunction and probably worsening of all intellectual abilities.

Deranged,..is a person in my book,...who is very skewed in their thinking, that killing is acceptable, for instance, and no remorse would be fine, and wearing the victims cloths for instance...is okay. Delusional, is believing things are there that aren't...delerious,..not yourself,..and out of your mind ..demented? a real sick perverted person.
