When people hear "God's voice" in their head they are sometimes mentally ill and are always experiencing an auditory hallucination. Prayer is voluntary, you choose what you are about to say. Schizophrenia, much like dreaming, is not under conscious control and is a serious debilitating mental illness thought to be caused by an imbalance of various neurotransmitters in the brain. If you hear voices in your head, you need to understand that schizophrenia is a progressive disorder, it often becomes more serious over time. The longer you delay seeking treatment, the less likely a successful outcome.

If you talk to the TV would it talk back?
If you talk to your dog, would it talk back?
What makes you think getting on your knees and talking to "God" its going to talk back?

But dont feel bad, as for as being narrow minded, I was Christan most of my life and I sought information and I got it and it wasn't because I "prayed" I concentrated on what I was looking for and at the time, I didn't know the law of attraction was working for me. A LAW that governs the universe.

People can be who ever that want to. But for so long I thought a god was controlling my life, that everything was already pre-determined. That when things got bad lord what are you trying to show me? Just a way of making myself feel good for not paying bills or bad because I was a disobedient child of god! Does this sound like you? If so, understand, that voice in your head is you. You are putting those thoughts there. NO ONE BUT YOU.

Stop blaming other people and outside forces for what is going on in your life. You created it.

End of story

I think both show elements of schizophrenia. If I talk to a wall, people will think I'm crazy. If it talks back, they will put me in an insane asylum.

It's narrow minded to believe in unprovable deities, Oh that's funny. Can't be too narrow minded , we have to believe in Zeus and Mithra and Odin too! But god, like the other gods I have mentioned are not real. So when something not real talks to you, that's a problem. Of course many Christians believe that god is real and that's why they talk to him.

because people think God doesn't respond. I have a relationship with God, not a one-way conversation all the time...

Schizophrenia can be helped with medicine. Your illness requires more.
