Deary.. you can get skin cancer when your young. A dear friend of my sisters is going through painful surgery to remove the legions on her skin now and she's only 32 and this is the seventh year they have been removing those ugly spots. Paula used to worship the sun. I feel sorry for her because she says they are very painful at times. Wear sunblock when your outside and you should have a better chance at keeping it away.

I always preach to my girls to use sunscreen every single day & never ever tan in a salon or outside. It's the worst thing for your skin. Besides causing premature aging (wrinkles & age spots) it causes skin cancer. The fairer your skin is the higher your chance of skin cancer. You can get skin cancer at an early age, in fact, skin cancer is on the rise mostly due to tanning beds. I would be deathly scared to get a suntan or sunburn. Good luck & keep applying sunscreen.

not only when older.. what ever age you are, you are at risk of skin cancer. The sun also causes humans to age sooner, meaning get wrinkles

It is possible, but if you always make sure you are wearing sunscrean. Eventhough you think you will not tan you still will because sunscrean prevents sunburn not tanning.
