Not anymore than I pity those who worship god. It's their choice.

Not really. he's never had the kind of following Christ can take for granted. It's been a struggle even to keep that crappy Church of Satan going in Frisco, what to speak of the way the temple of Set has been hobbling along. As for the people who worship him, well at two billion we're not shy of customers and in any event anyone who worships Old Nick is an unlikely candidate for conversion, nor would he/she be suitable for participation in a Christian community. I'm glad they found their place in this world, and in the next.

I don't know if I'd say I pity them. Satan and those who follow him, believe in God. Satan knows full well about salvation through Christ and eternal life...so do his followers. They choose to live their lives fully in this world, using the power of Satan to become gods of this earth. They know they are giving up eternal salvation...so pity...no. I do feel a sense of loss though, they have literally given up the pure gold for the cheap imitation.

I don't know anyone who does. I do pity those who feel the need to worship anything at all - what a waste.

As Blake said of Satan: "Tho' thou art worshipp'd by the Names divine Of Jesus and Jehovah..."

But people who actually claim to worship "Satan" are only reacting against, and thereby paradoxically affirming, Christianity. It's an adolescent type of rebellion, but perhaps necessary for some people to balance out their Christian upbringing. Atheism represents a much more mature attitude.

No one seriously worships Satan, except for dumb emo kids who are so ineffectual that they're not even worth counting.

The joke is on you. They worship "Satan" as a metaphor for everything Christianity is not. They don't actually think Satan is an actual being.

"Satan" is just a metaphor for:

Selfishness
Pride
Intelligence and reason
Retribution

Etc.

No. I pity people who worship preachers and other dogmatic folks who think they have the right to tell them how to live their lives.

No, I pity those who worship and believe in Christianity, etc.. and since Satanism was invented by Christian Theology I don't consider it as something that is separate like most people do.

Like furiousblue said... Christianity, Satanism, FlyingSpaghettiMonster, Somersaulting Court Jester, whatever , you're better off dismissing all of those wackos, because they are brainwashed wackos, they just don't realize it.

Only because they're still caught up in the worldview and mythos of Middle Eastern religion like the xians . . . o_O

Honestly, it's a really, REALLY bad fit for Northern Europeans. No matter which side you put yourself on.
