If I go to sleep then my roommate will know I've been drinking and I have to hide it from her. Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep myself awake or sober myself up a bit?

Drink a glass of water with every drink. Eat a full meal before you start drinking. These steps will slow down alcohol absorbtion. Drink less alcohol. If you have to hide your drinking than its time to move or get a new roommate. Or maybe you have an addiction to work on.

When you get home you are not falling asleep. Alcohol does not induce sleep. What is happening you are going into a small coma. When someone passes out what they have exposed their brain to is a coma

There is no way you will be able to keep yourself awake or sober yourself up. You overly intoxicated yourself.

Don't mean to preach but if you keep this up you will kill your liver and fry your brain. Have you ever seen a drunk when he is drunk. Well, that's you in the future. Why do you find this need to go out and get drunk and how often do you do this?
I was a drinker myself and have nothing against drinking. But I never went out to deliberately get drunk. It happened though.
I don't drink anymore due to medications I take.
To me it sounds as if you are on your way to alcoholism. I don't think you want that.
Please understand that this answer is only to help you. I'm not making judgments. Just don't want terrible things to happen to you.

the easiest way is to not go out and get drunk, if you have to hide it, you should not be doing it. So either quit getting drunk or get a different roommate. The other solution is to not go home after you have been out getting drunk.
