Need the formula to add the sales tax amount on invoices.

(item cost X 0.875) + Item cost = total cost

If you wanted to figure out the invoice total with tax included the simplest formula is this:

Invoice amount x 1.0875 = invoice + tax

Its one less step than the others suggested above of:

(Invoice amount x .0875) + invoice amount

you're using Tally sofware to your company. there is provision in Tally itself to offer bill Numbers Manually. that way you could segrigate revenues bill and repair Tax bill.

Divide to add,,mulyiply to subtract....let's say your invoice is $125.00 and you need to add 8.75% to it....on your calculator enter 125.00 divide by .9125 equals 136.99 rounded up..
