I emailed my sister serving in Iraq.
I called my brother just to say "hi".
I waited to hold the door for a neighbor carrying groceries into my building.
I told a student having difficulty that I like having him in my class.
I brought coffee in for my staff.
I was patient when I needed to be even when it was difficult.
I said "thank you" to everyone who made me smile.

I listened to someone whine on the phone for about 10 minutes about the cost of living.
What can I say, I've been at work since 6am. I plan on going home soon and hugging my 3 year old though.

I was sitting on the porch this morning enjoying a croissant and coffee when my neighbor came by, she apologised for not wearing any makeup and said she never goes out without any makeup on. I said to her, with such beautiful skin as yours you really don't need any makeup. I think it made her day...and I carried on enjoying the croissant, watching the sky and listening to the birds make a noise. What a lovely day it was.....

I said good morning to one person. And to a friend, I left him a nice message and when he heard it, he started his day off very well knowing someone had him in mind. (By the way, that was a very good question. Makes you think how you affect others and what you do for them.)

I'm taking care of a 12 year old girl this week. I cracked a joke in the car when she said, "that's my bus". I asked her if she'd like to get out of the car so she could catch her bus.
At first, she looked confused. Then, we both started laughing.

I don’t know if it was nice, but I told my little sister that I’ll laugh whenever she says “frozen bread”. And I did. That made her laugh a lot and she had fun with this for the rest of the day.

I smiled at them first to let them know that I acknowledge and recognize them. It always works!
