A good game with a ball to transition children into another activity is Call Ball: The teacher starts by saying a child's name and rolling the ball to him/her. Then the child says another child's name and rolls the ball to that child. As each has his turn, they leave the group to go to lunch, group time, whatever. Scarves can be used to dance to classical music. Use bean bags to teach body parts: Put the bean bag on your elbow, on your elbow. (To the tune of If You're Happy and You Know It) Use The Stick Game to teach tapping in rhythm. I'm not sure what record I have that one on but I bet you can do a search and find it.
