YES OH,YES ! You have got the idea my friend.
The Scriptures teach that when you search for Him with your whole heart, you will find Him.
I have found through my life experience, and I am 50, that the Lord always seeks us first, and then we have the inklings or beginning thoughts of wanting to seek His face. Creator God, I believe, is always seeking us.

The Almighty says in the book of Jeremiah chapter 33 and verse 3 "call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know".

The Lord has said that " the fear (reverance) of the Lord is the beginning of understanding".

In another place He says that " as many as will believe, He has given them the power to become sons of God".

Be glad when you see this! In the book of Romans, chapter 10, verses 9 & 10, our seeking God states " if you believe in your heart and confess with you lips that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was raised from the dead, you will be saved".

Keep seeking, keep praying, and He will make it clear how He longs to relate to you.

there is no way to understand God. we can only try to follow the teachings of Jesus (for those who believe) think of an autopsy: ok, now you have the body cut open, you have done every test on every organ, did every blood test there is, you have done every DNA test available, you have tested urine, and every body fluid there is. You know exactly what made the body move and react. You know cause of death. you are capable of lecturing college students on human life. You know every single medical and scientific thing there is to know about the human body. BUT do you know that body's thoughts when it was living? do you know what was in that body's mind? Of course not. well its the same with God.
we can sort, categorize and sift thru the various reiligions, pick the bible apart, discover mysterious codes within the bible, uncover discrepancies, argue the validity of that book, we could read the bible a thousand times and we still would not begin to understand the full nature of God. We can obey the commandments handed down as a child would obey his or her parents, we can attend church, sing gospel songs and give the appearance of being righteous people. We can do great and mighty deeds to make ourselves look good and feel better about ourselves but we will never understand God.
If we could understand God and His purpose then we would not cry at funerals, and we would never ask our Lord "why?"
If I seek the face of God and I should find it. I would only be looking at something the likes of which I could not imagine.
All that power, wisdom and knowledge would overwelm my own tiny mind. It would kill me instantly. The best I can hope for
is to be the best that I can be and trust His word, his mercy and His love

I seek God to understand myself as well as Him. I don't think I will ever really understand His ways, but I have had a glimpse of Him and His love, mercy and Joy. It is an amazing feeling.

I don't believe in seeking the face of God because God is ever-present and lives and breaths in all things. From the tinyest grain of sand to the tallest mountain, there resides God.

Interesting question.

I think that's obviously true. As with ANY relationship - if you really seek the other's face, you'll get a better understanding of them.

Keep seeking and God will show you the way. You may find an answer to your question, but then you may have another question to answer, seek again and may God Bless you!

oh yes and as the person above said, pray!

Precisely. The H. Scripture commands us to do the same. In fact, God Himself says in the Old Testament and the Torah Scriptures: "And you'll seek Me & will find Me if you'll seek Me with all your heart". Can you see? "with ALL your heart"... That's the ONLY condition He puts forward to every man. Not necessarily to Christians only, but be it a Muslim,a Buddhist, even an atheist, etc. The main condition is:"with ALL your heart".
The case is, we are by no means able to know God or the things of God BY OURSELVES. The Bible clearly says that a carnal, unspiritual mind is UNABLE to grasp God's things.Rather, it needs for God Himself to reveal Him to a man. & to do so one needs to seek God on His condition:"with all his heart",& God'll not meddle to manifest to such a one!
So, I'd advise you to take Him at His Word, and you'll experience it for yourself, as I did many years ago and was saved!
God bless you in this, and may He Himself help you! He is ALWAYS responsible for what He's saying!

Yes - provided the seeking is of the right sort:
"But if I regard iniquity in my heart, then the Lord will not hear me."

Unless I turn my back on my wrong doing and whole heartedly ask for forgiveness and make restitution, then God will have nothing to do with me.

people with the energy that want to know about that crap will meet with people that will "preach that crap". Its called the law of attraction.

If they change their thoughts then of course their actions would change and so would their circumstances. But to think that you will get different results doing the same s h i t is called insanity.

If people think that a god or some other diety is controlling their life, its an excuse for one not to think. Do you think animals have a god? Man created god.

Definitely. Exactly what the others said. Seek His face and He will surely show it to you. That's what He wants to do. He doesn't want to how you His face if you don't want to see it.
