You again! I'm Jewish and I'm not bitter and none of the atheist people I know (my husband is one, one of my sons is an atheist) are not at all bitter and above all have a sense of humor. A sense of humor is, I believe, one of the most important traits for a person to have and unfortunately you seem to have been born without one. Where did you get the idea that atheists are bitter? Can you elaborate? I guess I'll answer my own question because whenever I do this (ask a question in my answer) I never get a response. No, you can't elaborate because you are making all this up and you should seek professional help. You keep posting the same things over and over again in different "disguises" and what do you expect? Do you actually expect atheists to shout "hallelujah" and convert in one fell swoop? Every time you post these things, you get oppositional answers by a ratio of about 10-1. Why keep doing it? And no, I beg to differ....I feel sorry for you!

Honestly? I don't care if God was emblazoned on everything in the world. I can say the Pledge of Alligience without cringing, and I don't give a second thought to the "in God we trust" on our cash. Also, every person on this earth could be religious, and I wouldn't mind--as long as none of them were pressuring me to be the same. I don't care how other people live their lives as long as I'm not bothered. And I don't give God a second thought most of the time as well, as I am utterly unaffected by him. So how could I hate him?
And I'm not bitter at all. My friends say I'm really optimistic and friendly--keep in mind that all my friends are nearly fundamentalist Christians and have no idea about my religion, or lack thereof.

the money is spent because there is NO other form of currency avaliable in America. much as if you lived in Saudia Arabia. you would be FORCED to use money that has Muslim slogans printed on it, no matter what your religion.
they are not talking about god. they are talking about people that believe in a god.
your god happens to come up more often. because your people force him into the political and economical spotlight on a rather constant basis.
people become bitter when systems are forced upon them. and the Christian religion has done nothing but try to force a system on the world for the last 1500 years.
by the by, i am NOT an Athiest.

I don't spend money with "in God we trust" written on it. And even if I did I wouldn't exactly have a choice in the matter, if that was the currency of my country. And I don't believe in, or hate, God.
Oh yes, and "ingratitude"? To whom and for what am I supposed to be grateful?

I feel sorry for you that you spend your days hating others.
It's a symptom of your cult, though. I'm quite familiar with it, as most of my family are victims of it as well.
It would be nice to think that one day you'll let go of the cult, and the hatred that it breeds. But unfortunately, I think it's more likely that you'll go to your grave with it.
Luckily, your grandchildren won't. Your cult will be gone in a few generations, fyi. What a relief for the rest of us! :)
(Oh, and I'd just like to point out one thing that seems to have eluded you... I uhm... don't believe a god exists. I don't hate your god. I don't believe he exists. You got it? In much the same way, I would HOPE that you don't believe in Santa Claus. Therefore, you don't hate him either. That would be a bit silly...)

So what are you suggesting, atheists forgo using money because some christians forced the "In Imaginary Being We Trust" onto it.
If you want to see bitter, it sounds like you should go and find a mirror to look in.

My money doesn't mention God. Besides, I spend a lot of my time talking about Frodo Baggins. OK, bad example: he does exist.

And I feel sorry for people who are so delusional that they cannot accept the fact that some people do not share their same delusion.
