ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! You have to even ASK this question?! Yes...take the cat to the Animal Shelter...NOW.
You don't know what to make of your girlfriend?! She's a loon, and she has no business owning a pet!
Cats should never be hit, much less kicked, because they will end up fearing their owner (and others). She usually will "just" kick the cat?! That's animal cruelty, and it's criminally punishable. It SHOULD bother you. If your girlfriend (and how you can have a girlfriend who is so insensitive and hurtful and destructive is beyond me) needs to discipline a cat, the best way is to have a squirt bottle of water handy and squirt the cat when it does something wrong.
Would you like to be put in a dryer on hot for two minutes? Well, maybe you would. But remember that a cat is much smaller than a human and cannot tolerate that temperature or treatment. I'm surprised the cat lived. This must be an indoor cat, because if it was allowed to go outside, it probably would have tried to escape the abuse by now.
What does your "girlfriend" even want with an animal, since she obviously does not have any patience or warmth or love or empathy or consideration or tolerance towards one?
"Usually" she kicks the cat implies that the cat has been "misbehaving" for a while. Could it be that the cat is misbehaving because of the treatment that it receives from your so-called girlfriend? Sounds to me like the abuse may have caused the bad behavior rather than the bad behavior causing the abuse (you know...like, which came first...the chicken or the egg?), because your "girlfriend" seems to have a screw loose, and maybe she just gets off on being an abuser. Maybe the cat is trying to tell her something -- like pay attention to me or be nice to me or stop mistreating me. For your "friend" to abuse the cat because the cat is using this inappropriate behavior to try to communicate with her is just WRONG.
If I knew where you lived, I'd have the SPCA there in a hot minute to take that cat away from your "friend." Since I don't, why don't you do the right thing NOW and take the cat to a shelter. PLEASE!

This girl is a psycho! she needs to be put away in a mental hospital somewhere, and yes, you need to take the cat to a shelter where they will take care of it. She will kill it putting it in the dryer. I am surprised it hasn't happened yet. I would get away from her immediately too, she will become abusive towards you soon, if it has not already happened! Best of luck to you, and I feel really sorry for the poor cat. it may have a medical problem already and that is why it is peeing on her bedroom floor, or she is not providing a good place for it to go potty!

Oh please please do. Take the cat someday when she isn't around and take it to the humane society or vet. That is so sad that she does those things. The cat probably keeps peeing cause she is mad at her for some reason (probably the way she treats her). I just want to cry knowing she put the cat in the dryer. My heart is aching for the cat. Please please find the kitty a good home. Even her kicking it bothers me. The way she treats the cat has probably cause it damage to where it pee's on the floor. I am not sure but that kitty doesn't deserve that just for peeing on the floor (no matter how many times or places it has done it.

You're girlfriend is committing a criminal act. Are you not familiar with cruelty to animals? Another to consider. Someone abusing animals that are mostly defenseless is a really bad sign. Some of the greatest psychopaths in history started out torturing or hurting small animals. You're girlfriend clearly has some anger issues. Take the poor cat to an animal shelter. At least if it's cute, it might have a chance to be adopted by someone who genuinely loves it.

YES! Call the cops on her so she isn’t allowed to have anymore animals. Or at least sneak her cat away from her when she’s not looking and take it to the pound or give it to someone else. She’ll just assume it ran away. Then dump that chick because she is obviously insane. How could you honestly respect someone that would do that to another creature? You know serial killers start out by harming defenseless animals; maybe you should get a restraining order to.

That's more than escalating, it's against the law. She could get fined up to 5,000 dollars and get thrown in jail for 2 years. So i STRONGLY suggest you do one of the following.
1) Threaten to break up if she doesnt treat it kinder.
2) Do as you stated and let the cat go/give it to a shelter.
3) Tell her what she's doing and she could get put in jail and tell her to stop.
Also i STRONGLY SUGGEST you break up with her because she seems like that you could be getting yourself in a lot of trouble. Not only this any future kids = you dont want to know.

If i were you i would take the cat. Don't even let her know you took it. That is animal abuse, the poor thing had to go to the bathroom. Just take the cat the next time she is home & give it to someone - a pet store - a shelter..
trust me it will be better for the cat.

Oh my god! Get rid of the cat to Humane Society immediately! Cats or Dogs are not as intelligent as we are so no need to let them suffer for whatever stupid things they do. Call SPCA right now before the cat suffer any longer.

she sounds like she needs serious help. i suggest getting rid of the cat definately before she does kill it or give it permanent brain damage. then get her some counseling for being abusive. and get out of that relationship, because anyone that cruel to an animal, does not deserve to ever be a mother.

If this is a joke, it's not funny at all, and it's sick, if you are really telling the truth , then she can go to jail for animal abuse. the good thing to do is tell her if she doesn't treat her cat with love and respect, then give the cat to a loving home
