I'm thinking in getting in Karate, proper exercise and healthy foods but what would be a fair amount of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

A good breakfast would be a piece of fruit & a bowl of cereal.
A good lunch would be a sandwich or a salad.
A good dinner would be Something filling.
A good dessert would be ONE cookie, or ice-cream.

Look at your father and grandfather. If they have a belly, you are out of luck. Genetics will work against you. Sure, cut your food way back. Do ab work until you drop. You will always have a belly even if your body fat falls below 5%. Chances are, you will have a protruding belly even if there is no fat wrapped around your intestines. As a physical and exercise therapist for over 25 years, I've given up on individuals with protruding bellies. I've seen men 15% below their ideal body weight - spindly arms and legs, skin hanging down over their belts - with a protruding belly no matter how much exercise they do. Learn how to suck it up. With practice, you can teach your muscles to hold the belly in place for as long as it takes for photos and to walk down the beach, but you're going to look weird.

Try servings no bigger than the size of your fist. Make sure you keep to the main food groups.
