Thanks for your honesty. I wish most Americans would be honest with themselves and say that they would do the same thing too. I know I would do all in my power, whether legal or not, to provide a better life for my family if my living conditions were near third world poverty.

People do understand that you want a better life. The people of America want a better life for you too - LEGALLY. If you want to come to America and live the American dream, then apply for legal entry.
Take the necessary legal steps to become a citizen and then support your country - America. That means that you pay taxes, go to war if called upon, defend the American flag and wave it proudly. And be sure to announce to the world that you have come to America legally since most have broken the law by crossing the border illegally and thereby making the legal immigrants have a difficult time being accepted.
Boast that you came to America legally and watch America in action. We will be your best friend and help you become a real American with a heritage you can be proud of.
But for you to be truly happy in this country, you must not support illegal entry by anyone. This is a crime and will make you guilty of supporting crime thereby making you a criminal.
I hope you have a better understanding now about how America feels about immigrants. It's not about where they came from or what race they are. It's about coming here legally with permission to gain entry. It's about coming to American not to take away jobs but to earn a living as an American. It's not about living off the sweat of another American but about earning your way through your own labor with an honest wage - which will go up if the employers stop hiring illegals which causes the wage to be lowered.
By the way, why do you refer to yourself as "us mexicans" and then say that you are legal. I don't get it. What are you a legal of? You don't make any sense. If you were a real legal citizen of the United States, you would be thrilled to call yourself an American - not "us mexicans".
Would you just be baiting people?
If you have a real question, please ask it. Otherwise, go waste someone else time - this would be those people you refer to as "us mexicans".

Your lucky I am not the leader of this country or had the ultimate decision over what to do with immigration.
There would be no debate. I would order an immediate deportation of all illegals, 0 benefits and a massive wall would be built all along the border with mass amounts of secuirty.
I would give the orders to shoot if necessary if you crossed the border and refused to stop. I think it is time we stop these illegal immigrants from draining our system. I have 0 problems with immigrants but there is a process you must go through to become a LEGAL citizen of this country.
We fought to make the U.S what it is today and it pisses me off that a bunch of illegals are ruining it for us all. I say go back to your own country and change the way things are.

Here's an idea then, do what it takes back home. You really don't like us anyway do you? Your fellow countrymen let us know exactly what you thought of us when you booed our Miss Universe contestant. We also don't appreciate the Osama chant at soccer matches. When other immigrants came to this country they loved it. They all did what it took. Some for it wasn't even legal, but at least they went through the proper channels to get here. All we really ask is that you do what every other immigrant does, sign the guest book and at least try to assimilate.
P.S. You want us to have an open southern border, how open is your southern border?

Illegals get a better life at the taxpayers' expense. Illegals don't pay taxes and don't pay for health care, which is a major reason why U.S. taxes are quite high for the amount of money that the government spends. If they want a better life, they would come here legally like you did. Unfortunately, that's not the case. They come here for free rides and spit in the face and cut in line of everybody who come here legally.

Obviously you can't get an unbiased answer here because this place is full of racists, which only means they are insecure because they see that a new majority is in this country and they are not going away with out a fight. There are many latino immigrants that will work and do anything to survive here. You don't really see that with other races, (gabachos), I see people at the off ramp and on the streets begging all the time and let me tell you something they are NOT latinos! So all you racists take care of your own gente because obviously we can take care of ourselves! Yes I am a citizen and born in the US and I am sad to see so many racists and unsecure people here. Get off your butts and work!!!!!!!! If you have a problem with latinos then don't go to any establishements that they are in, let's see if you can find one! HA! So sad that Yahoo will let you say these things. Pathetic!

I have no problem with legal immigration. My only beef is the people who come here for a job and then air grievances about the country that took them in. If you live here legally, show some respect. When engaging in political discussions and demonstrations, please tone down on the Mexican nationalism … especially when Mexico is the country that starved you and your countrymen of jobs in the first place.

I'm confused - you say you're legal, but you also say "us Mexicans." Whose side are you on? Are you a Mexican-American, with conflicted loyalties? Are you a legal immigrant to the U.S.? If so, why did you leave Mexico? You could have stayed there, and "done what it takes" to make "a better life" there. Our forefathers in this country did what it took to overthrow the British - why don't you and your compadres overthrow the oppressors of your people?

We all realize that not all Mexicans are illegally in this country and to those who aren't, we're glad you came. For those who are native to this country, good for all of us. For those who came here illegally, go home. Its really simple, and come back illegally. You say Mexicans will do what it takes, well, sooner or later we Americans will do what it takes to defend our country from illegals everywhere. Congress not withstanding! Kemo sauve?

It isn't all about you, I understand you want a better life for you and your family. And what we are defending is our jobs, wages, taxes security of our own country. Flip the coin. You have be working for a company for 10 years and your greedy pig owner replaces you with a person from another country for half the money and no benefits
so the greedy stinking pig can have a bigger boat. So please stay home. Our leadership in the U.S. is incompetent and out of touch with it's citizens but don't let that fool you Americans have had about enough and are willing to fight.
