L'Oreal or Clairol will work. Just use those brands only.

First of all, if the color your trying to be is lighter than the color you are, you have to buy color that WAY lighter or shall i say brighter than you really want to go, if your not going permanent because the blonde won't really show on dark hair. It is impossible to go blonde without bleaching or removing your natural color from your hair. try to stay away from any blonds that have a reddish tone because only the red will take in your hair. and if your scared try just a strand of so b4 doing your head so u don't freak out. and have a friend be there with you to help! and for support. good luck!!

It isn't possible to lighten hair except with a permanent colour- sorry. For a good permant brand, look at L'oreal. However, for a first time blonde I'd suggest going to a salon to pick your correct shade as you always have the chance of going orange with a home dye.

If there is anyway possible have it done professionally. At least the first time. You can end up with a very unattractive color. Stay away from the Ash blondes.

try the loreal color pulse.
they have non-permanant colors and you can get them at target, walmart, and certain walgreens for about 6 or 7 dollars.
it lasts for about four-six weeks.
its worth it.
that's what i used except i now have red hair, lol.
have fun with it.
(btw, it makes your hair VERY soft and smells sort of fruity! not in a non-pleasent way or anything though.)
much love
alex.

If you lighten, it will always be permanent. Unless you use a highlighting serum, but then the effect will barely be noticeable. If you want to go blond, it's permanent (but hair grows so screw it).

yes! go with Loreal. Maybe you would want to try a reddish color too. And since it's going to be semi perm, it'll fade away in about a month. Have fun!
Coloring my hair is my hobby!

look for any semi permanent dyes. but id get a salon to do it. also, idk if this is true or not, but someone once told me that if your dying your hair blonde (and not bleaching it) and you use too light of a color, it could turn your hair reddish. so id definatley talk to a stylist first.
