Try to enter Philips codes. Magnavox is owned by Philips, so maybe they share codes.
You can also try searching for a code (read the user manual) , maybe you will be lucky and one will match.

two suggestions... 1. a lot of satellite receivers have a remote setup within the menu. its different for all boxes but it is usually: menu--> set up--> remote--> and then it will ask you what you want to set up- your TV and then it will ask what kind of TV it is- sony, panasonic, etc. it will give you a code (or many codes) and will tell you how to input these codes into your remote. 2. if it is not in the menu then it is in your owner's manual. if you lost/misplaced it then they are easy to find online. it works basically the same as the above instructions. you can do this, do not give up.

Here are 4-digit codes : 0054, 0030, 1454, 0020. Here are 3-digit codes : 006, 007, 010, 011, 013, 016, 027, 033, 035, 043, 066, 087, 089.
