Because the combination of the tenets of Islam, coupled with the culture these people come from, easily lends itself to extreme fanaticism and skewed moral justification of their actions.

Muslims are just the ones most often in the news desribed as terrorists. Radical Hindus blew up a train of Muslims in India a couple years ago. That was definitely terrorism. Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist but not Muslim. The IRA was using terrorism decades before we started associating terrorism with Islam, and IRA members are generally Catholic. The group in Japan that released Ricin in the subway sustem several years ago was a cult based in Christian theology. Everyone has its nutters.

"Almost all" is a difficult thing to quantify - I think it's more to do with definition - Christians were considered terrorists by the romans - the french resistance were considered terrorists by the nazi's - give it a few years and the muslim terrorists of which you speak will gradually become top 100 heros - history is funny that way - we'll all be wearing the t-shirts you'll see.

Remember Timothy McVey? The Oklahoma bombing? Not a Muslim, but a Christian. How about the KKK when they bombed ***** churches? Christians. I am also a Christian, but I want to point out that we focus where the Media directs us. There are extremist of every color and creed, and yes faiths. The Middle East is a mess and passions are running high - terror is the weapon of the desperate and misguided. Violence stems from weakness not strength, from a moral vaccum, not righteousness. Those Muslims fighting side by side of our soldiers in Iraq and Afhganistan don't make the news but are there none the less. And I assure you that there are Christian, Jewish, and Muslims soldiers defending our freedom in all areas of the armed forces today.

This is one of those self-fulfilling statements.
Don't you mean that almost all the people that YOU call terrorists are Muslims?
Perhaps your definition of 'terrorist' is suspiciously synonymous with features that include Muslim background or characteristics.
What do you describe as a 'terrorist'????

I'm not sure but what do you feel is the definition of a true terrorist? A lot of people think that Americans are terrorist.

Because which groups are defined as terrorists is an extremely subjective decision made by your government and media, who stand only to gain from vilifying Muslims.
Several Western nations' armies are currently fighting an illegal war in Iraq which has killed many thousands of civilians. Most of the soldiers in these armies are not Muslims.

For the same reason that ALMOST ALL people who reject the clear evidence of biological evolution are fundamentalist Christians. There are often sects within religions that are extremist to the point where they go far beyond what their religion actually teaches, setting themselves up as infallible interpreters of their various religious texts, and producing their own new doctrinal beliefs under the guise of following their religion.

Apparently you haven't really looked very far into history, or even current world affairs. Is Tim McVeigh Muslim? How about the IRA in Northern Ireland? David Koresh and his ilk?
