is there anyway i can run a virus scan prior to xp being loaded. whenever i click any program, a virus will pop up. even when the computer is just sitting there i get warnings of spyware and adware, what can i do?

nortons will let you boot up to the cd and do just that run scann from your cd drive before computer starts. also you can press F8 before windows starts (just keep hitting it like crazy you will get it) you can select SafeMode and then you can run your scan from there. might habe better luck that way.

format the hard drive and re install is about all you can do, then when you are back online go to grisoft.com and download the free virus protection program AVG. Unfortunately you will lose everything you have, for the spyware and adware, get super anti spyware, also for free at download.com, and to clean up your files ccleaner, at ccleaner.com. Use these three programs and you should have no more problems, run each at least once a week

Download a anti-spyware program such as Counterspy2. You can find this in http://download.com. This should help solve most of your issues. For Internet issues, you might need to replace the winsock file.

My computer was doing that, trying to send 2 or 3 at a time. My grandson came down and looked at it. Deleted all history, cookies and temporary internet files. Then set it back to a different date and it is fine now. If you need advice on how to do any of these, email me, I will be glad to help.

I guess the only way now is to just try to back up the most important files and then just reinstall Windows. I'm not the best with comps but reinstalling Windows is the best way i know to get rid of all the crap you cant get out any other way

Download the program spybot search and destroy 1.4 ...
This program is free and can run before the desktop is loaded.

that happen to me!!! i like tryed every virus scan i kno of and nothing...eventualy i got my super genious friend to make me a special software(he's talked to bill gates and like works for microsoft)...so just keep looking and trying eventualy one might have some effect
