I remain stern in my viewpoint, I will not cave because society has accepted something I think is still wrong, no matter what century it is. Many thumbs down just convinces me even more that I am right about certain topics.

I try to never be offensive, so when i get thumbs down, especially more then 2 or 3 I really wonder why. I understand that people have different points of view, but is it really a bad answer, just because it goes against what you think?

I thumbs down answers that are rude, nasty or don't answer the question at all.

Depends on what the thumbs down is for. If it's because I was being a smartass, I do a little dance. If it's just because I post that I am a Pagan... I do a happy naked pagan dance. If it's something pertaining to a serious question, I will stop to wonder why I was given a thumbs down, but I don't take it to heart. Especially if I don't receive any kind of email or message telling me why.... That's like getting upset because someone disagrees with your opinion on something... it's just not worth it.

I don't pay attention to thumbs down because my opinion on a certain subject is not going to change just because there are people who do not agree with it.

Depends on what I said. If it's something about all religions being equally false, I assume the religious have disagreed (obviously they would). There are other times, however, that I stand dismayed at the dispproval of statements such as "Belief in God shouldn't stem from fear of Hell."

My record is 11. I like thumbs down. I don't get mine by being rude. Just dumb.

I think any response good or bad means at the very least, I made someone else think for a second.
