All Canadians are American, however, not all Americans are Canadian.

As far as I'm concerned, Canadians are Americans. Canada is, after all, located in North America.

Who says that only the citizens of the United States of America are Americans?

Canadians ARE american - North American.

I suppose that you could say if the french and english had not settled there, that part of the continent would have eventually become part of the US. Except for Russian settlements in the west, and some abandoned Norse settlements on the east, very few countries tried to establish any colonies in that part of the world.

Nope, for one thing, we like the Kids in the Hall and Rick Mercer and the Trailer Park Boys... too morally decadent for the red states.

And besides, haven't you heard, we're polite (we don't really go around 'squishing their heads') we're the mosaic not the melting pot (never cared for fondue anyway) and we're just way too laid back (except for some up-tight tories).

Most importantly, our beer is better!!!! And it's zed, not zee, zed! (oops, slipping into my Joe Canadian).

Peace Bro'

No, Canada is Canada because many of the first settlers were UEL (United Empire Loyalists). They came here to live under British rule and it was their determination that kept Canada from becoming a part of the US.

Add an unnatural love of hockey and I'd agree.
