Don't listen to others...but, also don't listen blindly to your religious leaders...go to God in prayer, study the scriptures with an open heart, open mind and put away preconceived ideas and notions, and let God live through you...maybe then you will care less about what people think, and more about what God thinks.

I am sure that you are hearing expressed the opinion that you should not be happy with your religion. But none of these expressions can be identified with Society as a whole.

The great thing about living in a free country is that Society as a whole should not care whether or not you are happy with your religion.

That is up to you. Are you really happy with your religion? Then I say, Carry on!

Please do not get in my way if I wish to be discontent with my religion or with my opinions on any subject. I rather enjoy calling into question things I believe. So I guess I am happy with my unhappiness.

Society in general tells everyone to fall in with the in crowd. I'm told constantly I shouldn't be happy where I am at. Supposedly, according to them, being a Pagan means being miserable. And some get quite upset when I'm not miserable lol

Why do you care what society thinks? I worship Daemon and I personally don't give a crap what anyone else thinks. It works for me. So if you're religion works for you - why are you so concerned about being accepted by others? Is it what others think that's important? Or is it your personal relationship with the God of your understanding that's important? My guess is it's the latter.

People believe what they believe because that is what they believe!
They are SURE they are correct in their belief.
They want others to believe the same to give validity to their thoughts or their philosophy.
If they thought they were wrong, then they don't believe it and they would change on their own.
Can't change others, it is hard enough changing ourselves.
It takes an overwhelming reality check to convince us of our error.
I bet you don't easily recognize your own errors either. That is human nature.
It is a conundrum that is not easily resolved but when they grow up (if ever) they realize the social aspects of the above stated fact and stop trying to change others. It then becomes fun to discuss philosophical views.
Just try to recognize these aspects of life and when others insist they are right (and therefore YOU must be wrong) ask what makes them right and therefore everyone else wrong? Then ask them to explain WHY?
It sometimes adjusts their insistence on their rigid stance.

if you are happy with your religion then society telling you otherwise not to be should not mean a thing to you....society is always trying to change and conform one to the majority ways.....we are all individuals after all and must stand in what we believe no matter what that belief may be.....right to some and wrong to others...never going to please everyone.....

Because we are expected to conform to the desires of society. For many years I was an athiest, know I believe in God, so of course every single christian outthere is telling e I have to accept Jesus when I know I don't. You go ahead and have your own Faith!!

As a Christian I tend to only hear from people who do not believe in Christ as opposers. I already knew this would happen as it happened to Jesus when He was here.

Depending on your faith, I think anyone who has something they believe in that conflicts with your faith will always have something to say about theirs and why it's better. I guess it's all part of living in a free country.

Who are you going to listen to, society or yourself? Freedom of spiritual choice is the ultimate freedom. Choose for yourself and hang what anyone else has to say. We are all entitled to our opinions but, we are not entitled to push our beliefs or opinions on others.

If you are happy with it, then do not rely on what other's think or say. It is a personal thing and as long as you are not being rude, obnoxious or hateful then why would it matter to others?
