here are some tips!
- you can use those nicotine chewing gums (there are some stickers too, you just put them in your skin) I dont know if they are affective but it worth trying
-use ..ordinary chewing gums! A friend of mine manage to quit this way! when he was crazy for a cigarette, he used gum instead. This will prevent you from eating ;)
-another friend of mine used to put cigarettes to his mouth, not to smoke but just to fool himself, and stop this urge to smoke!
I used to smoke for a year but not any more..
Good luck!

I personally don't smoke, and never will smoke. But a lot of my family members: dad, uncles, and aunts all are addictive smokers. My dad on the other hand, he only smokes during the summer when we go to Turkey, but once he comes back to America he instantly stops. He's been doing this for many years now and I it must be really hard to give up an addiction so quick and so frequently. Maybe if it's hard, you should try chewing a piece of gum whenever you have a craving, or buy the nicotine patch or gum that can help fight your addiction. Good Luck! :-)

I started when I was 16 and still smoke, only time I didn`t smoke was when I was pregnant so if you really want you can do it, but its an addiction cos as soon as I gave birth I started back again, its important to realize its the worst addiction there is...ppl go back to it even after years..
try a tablet called zayben(the name zayben in the UK) its suppose to ease the cravings, I have tried all sorts but I guess I didn`t really want to stop so I couldn`t....
good luck...

I can say proudly that I've never smoked, but I have a heavy smoker husband:(, which, in a way puts me in a position of a passive smoker... He says he likes it and doesn't want to quit, but it is really hard for me, anyway, I know from him that it is quite normal for smokers to be aggressive during this period, I know in Ramadan, I begged him not to fast since he was really angry not being able to smoke...
but, anyway, I'm happy to hear that you've given the correct decision for your life, you'll see how your body, skin, and health change in a better way in a short while...
good luck:)

i have never smoked in my life and I'm proud of it!
but i had a test to measure carbon monoxide in my body and it was supposed to be 0 since I've never smoked. but it was 5 which is equal to the level of a passive smoker. just because i hang around with people who smoke including my friends and parents
please quit smoking and stop killing yourself as well as others

it is very easy i think,it is all in your mind.
My dad,25 year smoker, gave up smoking only in a day.One morning he woke up and said " i quit smoking " and it's been 4 years that my dad hasn't smoked.
6 months ago, i was smoking irregularly, especially while studying for exams to be awake at night, but one day asked myself " are you stupid? " so i've never smoked again.
All i try to explain is it is all in your mind, you can do what ever you want!

Hi Ipek,
For me, main answer is to want ... (To say, I am quit, that is finish...)
I was used in high-school time. You know maybe just interest, everyone has been smoking, so I tried to smoke. After high school, I said, I am quit. That is finish.
Now, I am not smoking ...
Sinem said right. When I met my wife, she had been smoking, when she learnt pregnant, she quit.
Now, she is not smoking...
Good Luck and Just say ...
Regards

I used to smoke so much when I was younger...And finally I understood thanks to my doctor ( especially when I saw the radios...) that I should better quit...So then I quited smoking...And then I began to feel better, especially the taste of food is better, and I feel stronger and younger...And now I can't even bear the smell of cigarettes...When someone is smoking near by me, problems begin because they don't want to respect my freedom of breathing a clean air..
Smoking is a very bad invention...Everybody should quit it...
