That's like asking why do we keep using Newton's laws or quantum mechanics.

People are always thinking of new stuff, although not everyone writes it down. That said, there's always new stuff being written, you just have to find it amongst the recycled opinions.

Once you've found something new, you have to give it the time of day. Given that most people can't put together a sensible arguement, even if they have a good idea, you'll probably ignore it.

If you do find something that is well put together you're likely to instantly disagree as it will be the product of a radical or uncomfortable thought process.

The chances are that the only new stuff you'll like is your own.

Get writing!

There is an astral plane that holds the data for all past life on earth and beyond. If you can tap into that you could have a real theory of energy and its ability to be a carrier between these two worlds, you would be thinking very cosmically, which does not fit those bills.

Millions of man-hours have been sunk into studying evolution. It's impossible for any individual person to reproduce even all of the theoretical work (which as been developed by generations of extremely smart and competent people), much less the experimental work.

Making up one's own hypothesis without checking against all of the observations that have already been made is a fruitless endeavor.

You can't be serious. There are as many "opinions" and "theories" on this site as there are days in the year.

Fortunately, I'm going with the bible. And I've got the patience to see what will be revealed about it, if it is truth or not, in the future.

Hey if it works why change it?

People use ideas that make sense and by rooting them in a respected sourse then it adds credibility. If i said that i believe that humans are descended from small southafrican tree frogs that make noises like a sheep and then gave no evidence and no other sources, you would say that i must be wrong. Therefore by using sources and research, people make their arguments and ideas more cridible, more believable and more likely to be accepted

I keep on getting the same answers whenever I ask mathematical questions.
Why should the truth change to suit any theory that has been dreamed up?

I have come up with theories on my own, only to discover later that someone thought of the idea before me. Just my bad luck of being born too late I guess.

Yeah, we should have 6 billion different theories for how life came to be on Earth. Or maybe there really is only one, and a lot of people who don't understand it.

Go on then - hit us with something truely original.

I think in answer to your question as more people use this, some real original thinkers will emerge.

I like short answers, more poetry than prose.

Even though I may read the same thing over and over again in the KJV Bible, It will continually tell me more and more as the Lord sees fit to show and teach me. The Word of God has no ending to it's teachings. Praise the Lord!

God has adopted me into His family when I accepted His Son Jesus as my personal Savior, and I have adopted His Word in the Bible as the truth of which I live by and am in complete agreement with. It is my own.
