The "cup" is our body, the contents are our spirits (Luke 11: 39). The Lord's cup was his mission in life (Luke 22: 17, 20, 42), ie, what he came to fulfill. God's cup is also expressed as His inner feelings and emotions (Rev. 14: 10).
So the cup is a metaphor for our bodies, the inside of which is who we really are - our thoughts, our emotions, our potential, our purpose.
Jesus cup was full of faith, obedience and truth... light, which uplifts.
Coffee is a drink that "uplifts" (no I'm not promoting coffee, I use it as metaphor only). Some coffees have more caffeine, (ie power to uplift) than others. But it's all coffee. I imagine that if one continued to take their cup to cafés all around the world, never ceasing in the quest, one would taste many delicious and uplifting coffees. Eventually one would find the coffee with the most "uplift" and the best taste.
If we don't try different kinds, we'll never even know what it tastes like.
That said, there is coffee that uplifts, and then there is the decaf (which is, BTW, carcinogenic). If you're looking for an uplift, don't bother with the decaf...
1 Cor. 10: 16, 21
That which does not uplift and enlighten, is not true coffee, but a deception. If you drink the decaf it won't really satisfy. I can tell what is coffee and what is decaf, not by where it is bought, but by how it tastes, and the fact that it doesn't feel uplifting.

Our understanding of our seperate Faiths and Spirituality does not depend on whether or not other's feel the same way or whether other's believe or have Faith or seek the truth or have differing practise...the contrary is true...our understanding of our seperate Faiths and Spirituality is enhanced because of this difference and because we share these differences.
Whether we share our cups..(our Spirituality) or whether we mix them is a choice which neither diminishes each nor enhances each, rather this sharing or mixing helps each of us to grow Spiritually by enhancing each other by the practise we espouse. This practise becomes the means by which we encourage and include others for their benefit, if they reciprocate by including us then the benefits become universal and the inclusiveness of the exchange of ideas whether this exchange is agreement or disagreement, helps us become aware, helps us become Mindful of others and helps us therefore grow Spiritually and as a human Being.
Should our cups mix...? In my opinion it doesn't matter, what matters is that we make the effort to at least share, this way whether we like or dislike what the other believes or feels is relevent also becomes irrelevent yet the fact is we are making each other feel equal and valid as humans and Beings.
Peace from a Buddhist...

To me this question directly points at a transmission beyond words. I say, yes, our cups should mix a bit, but at no time should they become too full.
