First of all, do the side panels that run along the bottom on each side of the Lincoln Mark VIII come off?? Can they be replaced and if so, where can I get the replacement panels? Also, I just put a new battery in her but sometimes I'll leave her alone and go to start it and the battery is drained....I don't know if there is small, inconspicous and out of the way appliance in these kind of cars that can run the battery down??? I also suspect that it could be a loose connection to the battery or maybe even the starter. I'll turn the key and I get a click click click but it won't turn. Def a power issue because everything in the car has slowed down or will not work at all. When I do get it started sometimes it will run perfectly for weeks and then a power issue will come up again. Thanks for the help if any...~Chris~

The trim panels can be removed and replaced, but it is body work, they don't snap off.

The electrical issue sounds like a bad battery cable or possibly a dying starter. It is possible the cooling fan or air ride compressor is running on after the car is turned off, but the air ride computer will turn the compressor off after 90 seconds no matter what, so a new battery should be able to take that without going dead.

The internal door switches are a culprit at times, they could be sticking in the door open position allowing an accessory to remain on, though this shouldn't happen either. Finally you could check the security system, sometime those drain power over time.

Good luck.
