This is an immature phrase that usually only small children use. An adult might say, "I need to use the restroom." If you're in Texas and using slang, you might say, "I need to see a man about a horse(or a dog)".

ummm.... because they have to pee, either that or theyre going to use the bathroom for a reason you dont want to know. Be glad women dont exclaim "Need to change my Tampon!" every time they go to the loo. Be thankful people dont say, " i need to head for the wc because i have explosive diarrhea!"

LOL! I never really thought of that.. when I'm out with friends or something, I just say "Excuse me, I need to use the washroom", or "I'll be right back". When I'm with my bf, I usually announce to him I gotta pee.. I dunno why I do it.. LOL! Maybe it's a woman thing though.. I've never heard a guy say it..
