If you have an Intel based Mac then you can. You actually have several options - you can run Windows within Mac OS with an emulator like Parallels, or you can download Boot Camp and dual-boot Windows and Mac OS.

You could make it run windoze, but why would you want to? OS X, Free BSD, or Linux are all better choices.
