From who? Not the restaurant, because you showed up. Not her, because she isn't going to give it to you.

Put this down to tuition in the school of hard knocks and go find a decent person. Don't call and ask for the money, because that's an argument - she's going to think your a nut -and besides, you got to enjoy the table without her. If you get stood up, you should always order dinner, because there there, dressed up and you might as well have a good meal.

Never meet a person for the first time at a fancy restaurant where you are expected to pay to book a table. Go to a Starbucks or someplace cheap until you get to know the person and know that you won't be stood up.

Oh I'm sorry you were stood up! Thats so nasty... but I'm afraid you can't get the money back, the restaurant won't give it to you because they still lost a table that night, and I doubt the girl would give you money for it! I'm sorry.

let go of the person and whatever negative thoughts you may attribute to yourself or them because you were stood up. One of my mentors used to say: some will know and appreciate what you have to offer, some wouldn't, so what? Next!

That is just one of those situations where you just swallow your pride and move on. Asking her for money just makes you look even more pathetic so take it like a man.

Don't even think about it. Take it on the chin, dust yourself down and put it behind you. We've all been there at sometime or another. [If it hasn't happened to some of your respondents yet, it will...............]
