Will objects in the mirror at a distance be blurry even though the reflection depicted to me is only 2 feet away? Or will they be clear? Why or why not?

They will be blurry at a distance. A mirror collects light and reflects that light without altering it. Your eye does all the focusing. You'll have better luck with a pair of binoculars.

The image you are seeing in the mirror optically speaking is a combination of the distance from your face to the mirror and the distance from the mirror to the object. For instance, if you look at yourself in a mirror and you are say 3 feet from the mirror then the image of yourself that you see is coming from 6 feet away. So, if the object you are looking at in the car mirror would be blurry if viewed directly then it would definitely be blurry also when viewing its reflection in the mirror because it is actually further away from you when you view it through the mirror.

They will be clear because you're focusing on an image close to your face. It's irrelevant how far away the image is to the mirror, only how close your face is to the mirror matters. I'm hopelessly nearsighted and have never had an issue because the mirror isn't nearsighted and reflects a normal image.

They will be clear. Its just like looking at a picture of the mountains. Your not look at the actualy mountains from far away, the image is right infront of you and in your focus range.
