Formed out of the dust, and breathed life into by the Spirit of God. You disagree?

Only the body is made from dirt. The "spirit" is the Breath of Life that comes from God. This is the part that animates the body, but has no personality of its own. It's just "breath".

Actually men (Adam) came from dirt, which explains why we behave the way we do. Women (Eve) came from Adam's rib which came from dirt. SO the book title should be "Men are from dirt, Women are from ribs"!

God chose to use dirt. If he wanted to, he could have just thought us alive. But, I think he wanted something we could understand and relate to.

Well both, it says in the bible we came from dust (Adam & Eve) and to dust we will return, it also says that he breathed life into the nostrils... so the answer is both

Well...dirt and a rib. Wouldn't have any of us if Eve wasn't made from Adam's rib.
