i have been working out 4 times a week for 2 months and dieting. i have lost a total of 4 pounds, that's it. i have another 30 before i would feel ok about my weight and another 60 to reach my goals. i have just signed up at a new gym and started going 5 days a week. i do an hour of cardio and then do a little lifting. i have been doing weight watchers (unofficially) and that isn't working for me, because according to their diet i don't eat enough, but trust me i do eat. 5 small meals a day with a snack or two in there. when i snack it is either some sort of fruit or a motts applesauce in the afternoon. my diet consists mostly of weight control oatmeal, lean pockets and fresh veggies, salad, and grilled chicken (george forman grill). what am i doing wrong? and how can i beat all this extra weight i have?
p.s. please don't respond with things like "stop eating, and get excersise because i am really trying here and not having much luck.

for some people it is extremely unfortunate that they cant lose weight. the only thing that really helped me lose weight was running arond the track with high intensity workouts. Like 5 - 200's then 4 100s and stuff like that for alittle more than an hour. Possibly fiber in your diet would help but it seems like your doing everything you can.

I know how you feel- i live in florida and going to the beach is a regular thing and it doesnt help having a worrying self-conscience. i hope something works for you and thing about seeing a doctor about your situation. Goodluck ` Chrisp

I located the booklet to be very informative and handy to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply worried that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too rapidly. I will admit I have not adopted the advisor precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however customarily) and doing little or no endeavor, however the weight maintains flying off. It certainly works and if I'd adopted it precisely I feel it could scare the residing daylights out of me due to the fact that of the volume that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the knowledge. I've not ever bought something like this earlier than due to the fact that they're most often stuffed with trash, however 3WD has been a best shock. Get began at present!

THis is only my secret diet, i dont share it with anyone else unless they really need it.

I replace my breakfast and lunch with a bowl of Kashi Cereal (you can purchase it at your local supermarket in the cereal isle) with a fruit and a half, (any type of fruit) and have it with coffee, or water or any fruit drink,

and the third meal which is usually dinner, you can have your usual dinner or even pizza if you want

You can lose about 5 pounds or more in a week with this diet, the reason why is because the wheat and fiber , and the fruit detoxify your body, it cleanses it, so by the third meal your body burns the fat from the food fast

GOod luck,
plus this diet will keep you full so you wont have to worry about eating in between meals! cause of the fiber and protein in the cereal and fruits

Have you talked to your gym about getting you set up on a fat burning regime? You'd be surprised how critical that is.

Before I start, let me start off by saying that I historically had atrocious luck with loosing weight, and no matter how much I exercised, it never seemed to come off. The MAJOR exception was when I was at the military college. People in the military seem to think that more is better, so my perception of exercise was that it had to be the most gruelling endeavor imaginable. Having to keep pace with the captain of the track team was a quick, painful way for me to burn 50 pounds. That was when I was 18.

Now, im 23, and have gained all of it back and then some. I wondered if I would have to resort to a regime of boot camp proportions if I wanted to get down to a manageable weight. What my trainer said surprised me.

What my trainer told me was that in order to truly burn fat, you have to hit a sweet spot in your exercise. Too much or too little will not optimize fat loss. She took my BMI, ran a formula with it, and came up with my optimum heartrate for fat loss.

I was stunned. 30 minutes of doing nothing but a brisk walk? I longed for my days as a zippy 19 year old Citadel freshman (which we called "knobs" :) ) as my idea of burning weight was good old Lt. Marbury, demolishing me in a multi-mile run.

However, in a mere few weeks, I have already dropped 15 pounds, with no sign of letting up in sight. I have altered my diets, mostly to salads, and cutting out the sweets and Big Macs. I feel great, and for the first time in a long time, my stomach is starting to flatten out.

The moral of my story is, you should work with a trainer to develop a program specifically geared to burning fat. You'd be surprised how little it has to do with the "more is better" approach that turns us fat guys off ;-)

Good Luck!

You know what, I have the same story like yours. I work out every day on the treadmill for an hour, but I don't seem to lose weight at all. I'm now taking "weight loss 30" for 2 weeks, and I've lost 7 pounds already. If you want to try it, just go to http://www.goquickslim.com

It is very possible that you are not eating enough. The paradox of weight loss is that if you do not take in enough calories your body thinks it is starving and goes into preservation mode where it holds on to absolutely every calorie it takes in. If, according to the WW program, you are not eating enough, then I would try eating a little more -- stick to fresh fruits and veggies mostly -- and see if it helps. With the exercise you are doing, you can afford to take in a little more and still count on losing.
