They were taught by Jesus as to what they will say, through the power of the holy spirit they can remember what Jesus have told them.
God wrote his book called the 10 commandments, ask anyone they could not memorized this short book written by God own hands in 2 tablets.

For His own Glory...
He used a vessel like the apostle Paul to show others of the change that had occured in him miraculously.
I could care less if he used Paul Stanley.....as long as we have the book of Romans....I'm happy
