I went for a free vison screning today at the local wal-mart and they said that i have 20/30 vison and that i need an eye exam. WHat is 20/30

Supervision. That's a true answer. It's the ability to see better than the average human should, it's real, and it's called supervision. There is superhearing as well - the ability to detect the extremely low and/or high frequencies most people can't. There is supertaste - and I have it, along with supersmell.

Artlogical...I'm sorry, but you are sorely mistaken. 20/30 is not "supervision". The only thing better than 20/20, is 20/15...or maybe 20/10.
JuryDoc is right on the money. 20/30 isn't bad. The only times you may notice blurriness is at school (if you're still in school) or when you are driving, particularly at night. You definitely wouldn't need them for full-time wear. The OD may even tell you that's its an optional prescription. You could probably still pass the driver's exam with 20/30 vision.

It means you see something from a distance of 20 feet with the same clarity that someone with 20/20 vision could see from 30 feet. That usually is not need for correction, but a professional eye exam wouldn't hurt.
