Christians shouldn't want to ban gay marriage. The bible says that men who lay in bed with other men cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Not to give them grief, take away their rights or any thing of that nature.
Don't go by what you hear and see on the news. If you want to discuss Christianity then read what the bible has to say about the issue, not what some over zealous nut job has to say.

How can homsexuals do that. They only amount to 5% of the population 10% maximum. Hey, ever notice that. Homosexuals outnumber Atheists in the world of statistics! It is FAR more likely one of your children will be Homosexual than Atheist!

That's actually a really good thought.
A national movement in which, each time a new christian "movement" is directed toward another group of people, an analogous movement is initiated against christians.
Of course, this would only feed their already overblown sense of martyrdom....

No, it means that we believe that homosexuals should have as much right to marry heterosexuals as heterosexuals have.
If you were less of a troll, I might add that I have no problem with calling a civil union a "marriage", because there's a difference between "civil law" and "ecclesiastical law". And I'd hate to confuse anyone with something that might make them question the 100% intolerant Christian stereotype that they've built up.

Since God created the first marriage and also condemns homosexuality isn't it a slap in His face to want to call it marriage. Why not stick with domestic union or something that is not scriptural. Mmm

You are taking the Bible verses out of context..... Also evry person is a hypocrite at some time or another.
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

No, they are being hypocritical. I am straight and in favor of gay marriage because my religion (Christianity) teaches me to treat people the way I want to be treated.
