Sadly, no. They think that because they have "figured out" they evolved from some grindin' amoebas that they have reached some sort of enlightment. You are a brainwashed fool to them. Welcome to the club!!! I'm a brainwashed fool, too! You want a beer?

My self esteem has absolutely NOTHING do do with whatever happend billions of years ago that eventually led to me sitting here. I do think however, that the human species as a whole should feel really good about how far we've come during that time, and at the same time keep in perspective how far we have yet to go.

The fact that humans evolved from lower life forms make us even more unique and special. The christian myth that we were created from dirt by a god cheapens and makes humans no more than play toys. The fact that early man had to invent a god in the first place shows the low esteem early christians had for themselves.

More than someone who was made from dirt, and got cursed for eating an apple.

Yes. It makes me respect others much more as all we have is a short existence here in Earth. After we die there is no chance to forgive or be forgiven. Or to show that we really do care.

How much self-esteem can a person who believes they were created by a vengeful, spiteful, manipulative, egotistical maniac have?

What could be more demeaning than feeling you have to worship a being because it claims to "love you" or only to avoid damnation?

Actually, pond scum serves a purpose biologically.

And it always floats to the top.

I'm not sure, really. I suppose it's similar to the self esteem of someone who believed a magic man created him out of a pile of dirt.

Likely a bit better than somebody who believes he was made by a bored God playing in the dirt and making something devoted to kissing his butt.

I really do not understand what it is about creationists that makes them addicted to slinging insults like monkeys fling poo.

Probably a bit more than a person who thinks they evolved from dirt or a rib.

I'd rather be born from pond scum than dirt and a rib made from dirt.
