To answer this we need to take into account the events of people coming back to life after being dead. Lazarus we see, lead a normal life after his resurrection. He ate, slept.. and did everything as he did before. I guess that having gone through that experience of resurrection did something to deepen his belief in the Lord Jesus. But sooner or later Lazarus would again have to face death like his sisters martha and mary.

The little girl who died and was resurrected by the Lord..Its interesting that in this passage the Lord told the parents to give her something to eat upon her resurrection. I believe it is to solidify the fact that this person who has come back to life is not a spirit being but in need of food like a normal person would.
Even after the Lord's resurrection and His appearance to the disciples.. He asked them for something to eat.. they offered him some fish, which he ate so show them that although He was resurrected he still had the basic needs to maintain the body of flesh that He still had.. mind you, the body that the Lord possessed was a glorified body. When the Lord raptures the Believers we too will have our bodies transfigured to have a glorified body as the Lord Jesus.
But the eating is a real attesting to the fact that after resurrection we still possess a body of flesh and live within the realm of the land of the living.

This. The flesh is the natural part of a man tangible; touch, see, smell, taste, etc. The spiritual is the intangible part of a man the invisible realm of the man and life; his soul, the devil, demons, God, heaven, etc. Just because a person dies does not mean, if God permits that person to come back to life, that they are any different than before.

This world, because if they came back, they were never really dead, even though science may have said so. Only one has ever truly come back from the dead. Jesus.

Good question...but I am afraid I do not know the answer. Can we perhaps hear from people that have experienced the near death experience?
