I'm trying to find alternatives to running and jump rope, as I find them very monotonous and frankly, boring. I was hoping to find something fun I can do on my own, which will keep me motivated to stick with it. I love soccer, but it's really obsolete alone as a cardiovascular exercise. Any ideas?

Have you tried watching TV while on a treadmill? I used to do this and it's pretty much the healthiest way of being lazy!

Turn on some music and crank it up as you dance and move around it is fun and if you are having fun you forget how long you are doing it for so the time flies.
Good luck

swimming, walking, riding a bicycle are all good cardio. soccer is good, too, if you are active in the game. any team sport can give you a good workout.
