Green tea and weight loss - we are asked questions about this nearly every day. This started about about two years ago when companies started pushing green tea as the latest way to lose weight. While we know Japanese green tea is an extremely wonderful beverage that has been shown to be beneficial to one's health, is it good for weight loss in particular? Fueling this interest has been appearances on Oprah and other programs by numerous authors including Dr. Perricone mentioning the benefits of a switch from coffee to green tea. Unfortunately, there has been quite a bit of hype surrounding the issue, so much so that we often end up being the ones having to explain the facts.

In the case of Dr. Perricone, having personally watched the program in question as well as his infomercials, we never actually heard him claim that green tea in and of itself would cause weight loss, but instead, it was the switch away from coffee that seems to help. According to what we saw, Dr. Perricone suggested its the quitting coffee that helps one to lose weight, and he suggests green tea as a healthy alternative to it.

Until recently, we had seen little evidence that definitively showed drinking green tea will help a person lose weight and we resisted promoting it for that reason. That was until we received an unsolicited email from one of our regular customers. When we read it, we were absolutely floored with our customers results. If this is a subject that interests you we recommend that you...
If you are on a diet and are looking for an alternative to coffee, soda, etc, then I can't think of any other beverage that could be better for you than a good quality Japanese green tea. Additionally, there are now substantial, multiple studies out there that suggest green tea's effectiveness at cancer prevention.

Yea because it cleans all of your toxins out of your body (some that cause extra weight) and if you drink it with a meal it breaks sown the fatty acids in the food, so it does'nt get stored as fat.

I've read this, but haven't found that it works for me. Try chitozan - it's a mineral you take as a tablet, bought from a chemist or health food store. Helps burn fat.
