my daughter is 29 months and weighs 24 lbs. She is also a picky eater, and will sometimes go days without eating. The doctors told me to keep her on vitamins, give her some Pedia-sure, and keep her on whole milk. When she's ready to eat, she'll eat. It still frustrates me, because sometimes all she'll put in her mouth is Pedia-sure...no solids. So hopefully they just grow out of it. I've also started putting finger foods on tables around the house, hoping she'll take the initiative...

Food first, bottle or cup second. My son would never eat if he could fill up on milk.

Just sit her down in front of some cartoons with a plate and let her eat at her own pace. If you make an issue of this it will only get worse. My daughter would eat full meals and yet my son is a snacker.

However you get them to eat healthy over a weeks time you win and so do they.

Good luck!

My daughter turns three this week and she weights 25 pounds. She can still wear 18-24 mth old clothes. I was very concerned about her, but my pediatrician assures me that she is healthy. I offer a variety of foods to her and I'm not too strict when it comes to cookies and stuff like that. Just try to offer her a balanced diet and she will eat when she is hungry. If there are certain foods you would like her to eat make sure she sees you eating that food. Kids learn by example and foods have to be offered repeatedly before kids will try them or get to like them. If you are really concerned take her to the pediatrician and talk to them about it.

My son will be three next month and only weighs 25 pounds...he's just little!!!! I wouldn't worry too much! He's a picky eater also. His doctor told me to add Carnation Instant Breakfast to his cups of milk two times a day. It has really helped him and it has lots of vitamins kids need.

Relax, she will eat when she is hungry. A child will not starve his or herself.Always try new foods. They get bored with the same old stuff just like we do. Also change sippy cups during the day.Just because she is not big and fat doesn't mean she is not healthy.........

Your job is to decide what she eats and she will decide how much. Just make sure you are always offering her healthy choices and she will be fine. It's a frusturating thing but a child won't starve themselves so don't go crazy over it. My daughter is 27 months and it's still a strugle to get her to eat. I just do my best to offer her good choices all the time.

just let her graze on different things all day. alternatively put her into playschool where she will learn to copy other kids . feed her with her favourite food 3 times a day if thats the only way you can get her to eat. my youngest son is the same

give her a vitamin supplement each day and keep trying...her tastes will mature as she gets older. exposure to other kids that enjoy eating some of the things that she dislikes will peak her curiosity( provided it is a person whose opinion she admires) also try to to put a spin on veggies by adding melted chz or peanut butter to celery

Kids go thru phases of growth. Sometimes they look too skinny sometimes fat. I wouldn't worry about it unless they are extreme on one or the other. Forcing kids to eat is never good.
