Why do you have a pulse in your penis?

I thought you only got a pulse when you had a vein(or was it muscle?) over a bone (i.e. Finger, wrist)

Through any vein or artery, when your heart pumps, the blood moves through your body. It's not flowing constantly like a river. Every pump, it moves. So the pulse in your penis is just the blood moving everytime the heart pumps.
