Monkey Kung Fu

Don't really have a good answer to that one. I like Tai Chi and Pau Qua when I'm feeling in a real nasty mood (ROFLMAO, these are peaceful arts but real nasty). I like Shoalin Long fist and Hsing' I when I want to look pretty (LMAO). I like Okinawa-Te (darn I'm tired can't spell today) when I want to impress with force. Aikido is nice, never was in the mood for Tae Kwan Do, Did a little boxing, Judo, Juijitsu. I guess most of my favs are Japanese and Chinese.

as a traditional and non traditional martial artist i have been fortunate enough to not have been blinded by any type of bias when it comes to the martial arts..

most people take a certain art and that's the art they like best and there's no room for any appreciation of any other.. it's common and i've dealt with it many times over the years..

as for me i love the gentleness of taijiquan, the strength of karate, the speed of tkd, the fluidity of aikido, the acrobatics of wushu, the agression of muay Thai, the technicality of boxing, the style of savate, the expressiveness of shoalin kung fu, the overwhelmingness of wing chun, the simplicity of jkd, the complexity of bjj, the acuracy of escrima, the straight forward teaching of systems like krav maga, the force of judo, the power of hung gar, the joy of capoira and the peacefulness of qigong..

i have never been able to pick the martial art i like best.. but in training i've picked the ones that best work for me and for what i am trying to achieve..

Hi there

Not really biased towards any of the arts.As long as the art relies on the skill of the practitioner then its a true martial art.

nice link may have to buy something off that site later. ;-)

Praying Mantis kung fu. Of course there are other arts I'd like to study...Bagua, Tai chi, Pencak Silat, Arnis. But one only has so much time.

Aikido. You can fight all day long without losing your breath. And you use the power of your opponent against himself. Tai-chi is great as well. Don't let it fool you for a second....it can be highly lethal. Although I'm not so sure it can be used against several opponents as Aikido can.
