Fast weight loss can be very dangerous.
Most doctors and health professionals will recommend that you eat less and move more. However, it does matter what you eat.
I started a weight loss program in January. I got rid of all the junk food, refined and processed food in my house. I started eating whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies. I also drink over 100 oz of water a day. Water helps you feel more full and it helps to metabolize fat in your body. I also started walking every day. I walk between 40-50 minutes a day, 6 days a week. I also do 10-15 minutes of strength training a day too. So far I'm down about 30 lbs.
As for using weight loss pills or drugs, I would aviod them. They can raise your blood pressure to very unsafe levels. They also give you fast weight loss with out changing your habaits and lifestyle. Fad diets like Atkins or South Beach are also tricky. Atkins works by putting your body into an askemic coma--which can be dangerous over time. When you stop the fad diet you gain the weight back.
So, move more. eat less and you will see results over time!

For fast weightloss I would go with a keto-type diet (for example, Atkins is a popular type). Basically, you eat very very few carbohydrates, if any at all.
It puts your body in a metabolically favorable state to start breaking down fat, although it takes a lot of dedication. The flip side is that it is very effective and can get you the quick results you want.
A word of caution, however, that losing 60 pounds on a sound diet and then returning to poor eating habits will only make one start gaining weight again. Dieting is not merely a phase, and more a lifestyle.

Well you contradicted your own question. YOu ask what the best way is to lose weight. The answer to that is to change your lifestyle to incorporate healthy eating and moderate exercise. Doing this, however, results in slow and fairly steady weight loss, NOT FAST. Think about it -- did you get overweight by 60 pounds quickly?? Probably not, then why do you expect to lose it quickly and keep it off??

the best way would be to start watching what you eat and exercise. yes i know everyone says that but it's true even if it's not easy. in food drink lots of water(i mean lots) try to stay away from pop and breads.
Exercise: do 30min to an hour of something every day. it really depends on your weight as to what you can do. find something u enjoy doing. just walking can be a very good start. just make sure your not walking too fast or too slow. you should be able to talk but not able to sing. good luck! and dont get discouraged by people being insesitive.

Food size plays an important role as far as our weight loss is concerned. We need to keep our food portion very sensible. On mostly occasions, we do not look too much or notice at the food size that is being served to us. Eating large food portion is one of the major reasons for too many people getting overweight.

You must change your eating habits. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water. Totally eliminate fried fatty foods and fast foods from your diet. Cut out sodas completely. Get out and exercise. Start with speed walking and or bike riding. Do something that gets your heart pumping and helps you break a sweat. And keep in mind my own personal favorite motto that I alwasys say to myself when i'm out exercising.

*100 calorie packs are amazing portion control products
*eat your biggest meal when you wake up, eat smaller meals throughout the day
*never eat before bed- it will slow down your metabolism and will store as fat on your body
*drink water and stay away from fast food
*no pop or beer
*cardio is good for your heart, but strength training with weights is good for fat burning

The law of Thermodynamics states that you need to burn of more than you consume. But you must consume a certain percentage based on your size and activity level.
