(sorry so long)

Let's say I break into your house

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials
in ages!!! It explains things better than all
the baloney you hear on TV.

Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place
across the country protesting the fact that Congress
is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.

Certain people are angry that
the US might protect its own
borders, might make it harder
to sneak into this country and,
once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand
the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house.
Let's say that when you discover
me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, "I've made all
the beds and washed the
dishes and did the laundry
and swept the floors. I've
done all the things you don't
like to do. I'm hard-working
and honest
(except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters:
You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family
(my husband will do all of your yard work because
he is also hard-working and honest, except for that
breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out,
I will call my friends who will picket your
house carrying signs that proclaim my
RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have
a nicer house than I do, and I'm just
trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working
and honest, person, except for well,
you know, I did break into your house
And what a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and
there is nothing you can do about it
without being accused of cold,

uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and
bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn
MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can
communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous
this is?! Only in America ...
if you agree, pass it on (in English).

If not blow it off.........
along with your future Social Security
funds, and a lot of other things.

Man, you people are sooooo testy about this.

1. This country needs immigration. Our economy cannot be sustained with only a home-grown workforce. Yes, the first beneficiary of a ready workforce are businesses, but when businesses thrive, and employ more people, the US benefits.

2. The immigration we need must be legal immigration to keep a level playing field between businesses that break the law on hiring illegals and those that don't. Legal immigration also insures fair wages, and collected taxes. Businesses operating legally, paying fair wages, and collecting taxes from documented workers benefits the US.

3. This bill would boost border control. Stopping illegal immigration benefits the US.

4. This bill would allow employed illegals to stay (with a financial penalty). This benefits the US because it causes less disruption and cost to businesses. That means less supply disruption and costs to you at the market or in services. This is a correction of sorts. Allowing the people who should have been allowed in all along to stay and work simply recognizes that our outdated immigration policy and lax border control is partly responsible for this mess.

Well, the situation is that we're a consultant democracy. We elected officers to legislate on our behalf. However, I suppose you've got an overly well thought right here. The politicians are too gutless to seem insensitive to those unlawful extraterrestrial beings, so allow them to cross the dollar --- to us! In truth, this approach must be utilized in different instances wherein the politians have a vested curiosity in now not rocking the boat. For illustration, 25 years in the past we had been speaking approximately lowering our dependency on imported oil. Nothing ever acquired performed seeing that it isn't within the politicians' fine curiosity to step at the ft of Big Oil. I'm surprised welfare reform ever acquired handed. Let's use your approach to do an finish run round politicians who would possibly not get worried in disorders that do not improvement their re-election possibilities.

There are NO benefits to the citizens of the USA or the country itself. The benefits are to business and the rich like Bush and Kennedy. It is an evil bill for America, and I hope it does not pass.

None. What? Did you expect that Democrats and Republicans (aside from Ron Paul) would actually give a tooty fruity about you?

If you, turn off your computer. Get on the phone. Schedule your full frontal lobotomy and sign up to be one of the first Americans to be implanted with an RFID chip when we convert from Constitutional Republic to Fascism under Der Fuhrer!

According to McCain - it gives a chance for those who watch our kids, clean our homes and tend to our gardens a chance to be here legally.

My questions is ........ where is the illegal doing this crap for me???? Last time I checked. I did all of that.
