What are the requirements for a Canadian resident to visit US? Do I have to apply for a visa to enter? If yes, how fast can I get a visa?

Depends on your citizenship. Canadian citizens do not need a visa to visit the US, regardles of point of entry (airport, land border, or sea border). Canadian citizens traveling by air need a passport to enter the US. Some residents of Canada may need a visa. For instance a citizen of Brazil who resides in Canada and is not also a Canadian citizen will need a visa to visit the US, even if arriving in the US from Canada.

Canadian Citizen, yes if you go by car.
Canadian resident, but non citizen, no. You need a passport also. But you dont need a visa to visit

No. You don't need a visa, and there are no plans to change that.

The requirements are if you fly you need a passport. If you drive or any land crossing this year, you need both your birth certificate and a drivers license. Or the passport, which will be required starting sometime next year.

If indians need a visa to transit the UK then you will still need a visa to transit the UK sorry but you are still an indian citizen.

By air we need to have a passport to enter the states. By land, just some form of ID right now.

If you are flying, you need a passport. If you are driving, you need picture ID, and if you are under 18, you might want to bring a birth certificate.

Depends if you are flying or driving. I remember traveling from Virginia to Ontario when I was young and the only hassle we got was exchanging american funds for canadian
