My fiance and I are getting Engagment pictures done. We are going to do them in a park/Garden type thing. Should we go jeans and a polo or jeans and a button up shirt.. i was thinking jeans and a white shirt. Either polo or button up... What else would look nice? They are going to be done at about 6pm so it wont be extremely bright out and hopefully some will be sunset pictures. Any advice? Thanks !

Absolutely take some with your dog! She is a part of your family.

You can wear any thing with jeans. So you could do white polos, or a color would be fine too. You can do matching colors, if you want, or complementary. You don't have to look like twins, it doesn't have to be exactly the same. Don't use patterns though, unless you want to look like a quilt.

Have fun!

I think casual is perfectly acceptable. Your wedding pics are going to be formal so theres nothing wrong with having a sitting that showcases the fun loving and laid back style of both of you. I would stay away from wearing white though. I'm not a professional photographer but I have done some amateur stuff and whenever the subject being photographed is in white or light pastels they tend to look a little washed out. Even if you have a darker skin tone. Its usually recommended to wear bright colors. Blue, Green, Red even Orange if it looks good on you both. You dont have to go with the same shades but if you are doing a woodsy outdoors type photo you could both wear blue jeans and your fiance could wear a denim shirt and you could wear a medium shade of blue shirt and it would look really nice. You will probably want to stay away from busy prints too as it might distract from the two of you. Check with the photographer to be sure though. Oh and if you know the location of where they will be taking the photo's I would also recommend visiting before pic day around the time of your photo sitting and you and your fiance can find some locations you like and see it in the lighting you'll have that way you guys have a say in how your pics look. You could even take a digital or disposable camera and take a few shots to see how the shadows fall and maybe even try out some clothing colors. Good Luck and I hope I helped.

Either one, polo or button up, will look nice in a garden and park setting. Do not match exactly, then it's gets looking funny, like you're twins rather than engaged. Jeans and white shirts always look nice, very casual, yet very modern. Congratulations & good luck!!!

as a wedding photographer I would say wear the clothes that most fit your 2 personality. Most wear slack and nice shirt. But I have seen and done med eval to military dress. Make it you. this is a special picture and only one time. Some make it show your 2 how you are now so you can look back at it in many yrsd and see how you look and how you dress then. Hope this helps. Good luck on your wedding and your new life.
