Twenty-five over is pretty high. You can fight it and if the police officer does not show up (which happens quite often because they usually have to come in during their free time) the case will be thrown out. You have the Constitutional right to face your accuser If the cop isn't there then you win. Hiring a lawyer is expensive and can cost you more than the ticket you got and deserved. (Sorry). I don't know what city or state you lived in so you may want to check what I said above.

I don't think you understand what a speed trap is. A speed trap isn't anything illegal, it's just a place where the cops tend to sit, because they are aware that people speed there. Therefore, arguing that this is a speed trap is pointless. The speed limit is 35, you were speeding. End of story. Further, I'm somewhat surprised that you aren't getting points. Generally, you do for that. The main reason to go to court is to pay a bit more in court costs, and avoid the points. IF you aren't getting points, just pay it, and do the speed limit on that hill. You really won't get anywhere with your argument.

When I went 105 in a 70 I was given a $100 10mph over ticket and just paid the $100 and went my way. Now if I do it I don't get caught... ok I stopped speeding but it was funny to say that.

Why would you need to hire one for that? If you admit you were speeding, than face the consequences like a man.

Anyone fit to represent you will cost at least $250 per hour. How bad do you want to beat that ticket?

any time you are faced with a loss of license, you should hire a lawyer

perhaps you can get it negotiated down

then, going forward, give more attention to the law and the safety of others

Probably not, just pay the fine and go to the classes (then it might not go on your record). They cite you for 10mph over the limit. That's just the way it is, sucks. Good luck.

You should not be allowed to drive, then you might have time to grow up. Only children speed.
