NO, all sorts of different cards for different cameras

Sorry, No.

Digital cameras are engineered for a specific type of memory cards (a very few can take 2 types).

Each card type has a unique size, shape, and connector location. So the wrong size just will not fit.

However, SD type memory cards are the most often used.

So just check out the cameras before you buy, and you will very likely be able to find one that uses your SD card.

Good Luck

Some digital cameras take CF cards, some take memory sticks and some take mini SD, micro SD and SD. They are not all interchangeable. The one rule is that an SD camera can take mini SD or micro SD if you have a suitable adaptor/holder with the mini or micro SD card.

The answer is no.

If you have a SONY, and you have 3-4 memory sticks, and go out and buy a Nikon, you will have to buy all new cards.

Look at the electronic ads. See all the different shapes and sizes?

Yes - unless your camera will only accept a certain size of memory card - some will accept all cards - some will only accept up to 512MB (older ones generally).
