Everyone has a right to believe what they want. That right ends when it tries to effect the civil liberties of someone else.

Not all theists are closed-minded bigots. Many Pagans don't anthropomorphize deity, nor do they claim to be the "only" way. Nor do they attempt to convert those who believe differently. Nor do they try to legislate their beliefs or kill people because of them. So we can't really say all theists are blind and promote dangerous ideals. I don't. I don't consider myself cruel or stupid either. And I'm a champion for science and seperation of church and state.

I like sitting idle at a stop light while the rest of the world's traffic can get road rage and accidents. That's the best way to go about it.

Funny..... I feel say the same way about atheists... and others. The difference is some atheists constantly insult others with their questions and answers on here who believe in anything at all. Kind of foolish when you consider that their unbelief is a belief.
Edit: Girl Wonder -
I agree that everyone has a right to believe what they want. What right entitles you to limit the civil liberties of the free expression of religion?

On what grounds do you conclude that others' ideals are dangerous? You have no more moral authority than any other individual. If you try to enforce your idea of morality onto others you violate your own stated philosophical position. Since you don't believe in any higher moral authority than the individual, you're obligated by your atheistic beliefs to sit quietly and let others live their lives as they please.

Speak for yourself. I don't seperate myself from the rest of humanity. Nothing can be done about stupidity. Everybody is either very intelligent, very stupid, or somewhere between. It can't be changed.
Cruelty should be stopped wherever it's found. It's not limited to church goers.

Atheists should do what they believe is right, same as we all should. People have a right to their beliefs and I am not too sure what anyone can do about it, or should do about it.
There are dangerous Atheists, the same as Dangerous people of any religion.

I don't tolerate it. I've stopped letting people spout their religious crap with impunity. If they do it without anyone first asking their opinion, they had better be ready to hear an opposing view. I refuse to mollycoddle these people any longer.

Nobody should, if harm and suffering is truly being caused, they should work diligently to put a stop to things with the minimal force and maximum compassion one can muster.

I was planning on just living in a hobbit house in New Zealand and keeping myself away from everyone, but that sounds good too!
