Depends where she lives. In the USA the age of consent in over 30 states is 16 (link: http://www.coolnurse.com/consent.htm ) In most states a 16 year old can get married with the consent of the parents. In a select few states if she is pregnant/had a baby then the parents consent can be waived. However, in those states you go before a judge and have a doctor's note. I guess it depends where you are in the world. In Australia for instance, a girl can marry at the age of 16 ONLY with her parents' consent....it's 18 for boys.

You must refer to the laws within your state. The age of consent is different from state to state. Most states, 16 is the age of consent.
It is ashame that she is growing up so fast. What happened to sweet 16, the prom, graduating, going to college, etc.? She's going to miss all of those things. Hopefully, she will not regret it.

Her parents will need to sign a permission slip in most states. Even if she has a baby at 16 an adult still has to have custody of her and her child. If her husband to be is 18 that will be him and could be a recipe for disaster if he is controlling.
I just hope that you have learned from her mistakes.

I think the laws vary by state. I personally think 16 is way too young. You need to continue your education to get a job to support the child.

If she is expecting a baby. Perhaps with parents permission she can get married. Because of her being underage. They would have to sign giving consent.

If you live in the U.S...
Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent in order to marry. IF she has parental consent (and him too if he's under 18), it's legal.

depends on where she is and they'll probably need parental consent....don't get married just for a child though, there are other ways to go about this, think really hard before jumping into such a big commitment at such a young age

There are states where you can get married as young as 14 without parental permission. Utah is one, I think Maryland is another.
