It is a 1999 Ford Taurus. Almost 120,000 miles, needs transmission. Just did new oil filter/pump and new rack-and-pinion job. Good AC, power windows/locks, needs some body work, paint job. In 'fair' condition. I paid $3,500 for it two years ago, but it has definitely seen better days.

You might try www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com and see what value they give it. Last year we sold a 1998 Ford Windstar for $800 because the transmission quit shifting. It had around 126,000 miles on it. We asked $1000 but let it go for $800. The sad thing is we had just put about $800 into it a few months before. It will depend on where you live and how quickly you want to sell it.

The Kelly Blue e book is subsidized and disbursed by using a used motor vehicle broking association. you do no longer want any numbers out of that. Use the NADA handbook. The handbook provides {or use to offer} 3 values: a million) public sale fee 2) own loan maximum 3) broking retail. you may desire to sell your motor vehicle a minimum of public sale fee as this is the genuine fee of the motor vehicle. you could start up out one thousand money above and then permit the shopper negotiate you down (so they experience like they have been given a good purchase). the internet NADA handbook seems to offer diverse numbers... commerce-in numbers. i could verify the paperback version earlier putting the fee, however the internet version says $10,600 (using a CA zip code) for a clean commerce-in... yet you're actually not paying for and advertising something in.
